Last October 12 in a mission of charity and brotherhood the FPCAP answered the call of community service by providing psychological first aid to the residents of Barangay Silangan, the heavily devastated community in Quezon City. Hundreds of families here became homeless as their houses and properties were destroyed while others lost their loved ones at the height of Typhoon Ondoy.

Fr. Joselito "Bong" Sarabia, CM, director of St. Vincent de Paul Social Services assigned in the said barangay asked the FPCAP assistance in giving psychological first aid to more than 30 families whose loved ones perished in the tragedy. FPCAP President Dr. Pearl Polestico spearheaded the event with Tetchie Viduya, Emmie Punzalan and Joy Dee.
