5th Counseling Cafe

The Counseling Cafe, a forum for counselors held its 5th session on June 10, 2011 at Bahay ni Ligaya, Katiupunan Avenue, Quezon City. Menu for this session was the topic Counselor Inspiration: The light that shines within the counselor. Counselors enjoyed meeting other counselors from the school, industry, as well as community settings as they exchanged personal ideas, shared their individual experiences and what inspired them to choose counseling as their professional calling. Forum leader/facilitator was Mr. Roderick E. Marfil, FPCAP Second Vice President.

1st National Workshop in Cebu City

The Family and Pastoral Counselling Association of the Philippines held its 1st National Workshop in Cebu City last April 1-2, 2011. The two-day workshop was in partnership with the University of San Jose-Recoletos with Cebu Archbishop Jesus Palma, D.D. as keynote speaker. Nine workshops were presented along the theme Embracing the challenge: A closer look into the pastoral setting. Participants came from the Visayas and Mindanao regions as well as from Metro Manila.
